Dougarie Estate
Dougarie Estate is located on the west cost of Arran between the villages of Machrie and Pirnmill. Our business focuses on hospitality providing residential holiday lettings along with a wedding/events venue “The Boathouse at Dougarie”.
We are in the process of our organic conversion which will see our farm achieve its organic certification in 2023 with the aim of being able to offer organic meat to local suppliers.

Arran Wild Boar
Arran Wild Boar started in June 2020 during the lockdown with an idea to use my time on furlough wisely and bring something new and exciting to the Isle of Arran.
Wild Boar are a Hardy breed that were once native to the UK and have been reintroduced in parts Scotland and England over the past few years.
I feed these beasts on local produce and allow them to feed on vegetation, insects, seeds, nuts, roots and fruits they would eat in the wild.

We are a working farm located on the west coast of Arran. We offer Farm Tours and give visitors the opportunity to see life on a traditional farm. Visitors can meet the animals, see our machinery and hear how life changes throughout the seasons.

The Arran Butcher
Originally known as HB McKinnon, Hugh McKinnon opened the butchers in 1964 and while the shop serviced Lochranza, he purchased a travelling shop and was able to expand, covering the north end from Pirnmill round to Corrie.
