Lochranza Centre CIC is an Outdoor Education & Activities Centre based around the old school & church in the Centre of the village. The business was established over 40 yrs ago using only the old schoolroom for eating, sleeping & teaching. The site has expanded over the years & is now run on behalf of the community as a not-for-profit CIC.
We provide education courses for schools, colleges & youth organisations. We also offer a wide range of adventure activities available for our residents & all visitors to Arran. We provide a venue for community meetings & events. A little something for everyone.
We provide good quality, healthy home-cooked meals for our guests. We are proud to source as much locally as we can. In summer we are open as a Chip Shop on Friday evenings. We also open regularly for local craft events & snack cafes.
The Centre is also home to the Arran Geopark Visitors room where the displays will make the history of the Arran landscape come alive. You will also find a ‘Top-Up-From’-The-Tap’ bottle filling station & charging point for electric vehicles & E-bikes on site.
